Ukontrollerede emneord: Re-employment, unemployment, labour mobility
Abstract: My primary interest within the field of economics is labour economics and a subject within this area was an obvious choice for my master thesis. Unemployment has been heavily debated in the media and investigating the topic to a greater extent by connecting it to mobility caught my interest. The thesis required extensive data processing and also required knowledge about new econometric methods, and gave a profound foundation for performing solid analyses.
I owe special thanks to my former employer the Confederation of Danish Employers for access to computer, office and data. Access to data has made it possible to use relevant data and combine multiple dataset to obtain the best possible analyses. I would also like to give special thanks to Jonas Zielke Schaarup for inspiration to the subject chosen and valuable advice, and to Lotte Katrine Ravn for collaboration in transforming and handling job function codes in order to perform the analyses in the most correct way.
The analyses presented are the results of my own work with helpful advice from my Supervisor Nikolaj Harmon, whom I would like to thank for valuable guidance throughout the process of writing this thesis. I would also like to thank David Dreyer Lassen for accepting to be listed as co-supervisor. And finally, thanks to Tine Jambang for proofreading.
